OUR MINISTRIES
Prayer Ministry
The prayer warriors of the Prayer Ministry serve primarily as watchmen and women for the Church by offering up intercessory prayers in Spirit and in Truth. These warriors are consistently working with the Pastor to welcome in the Holy Spirit, prophesying, providing leadership and communicating the Pastor's vision for the Church. Prayer warriors consistently seek to maintain the armor of God in order that they might prayerfully and victoriously fight for God and Christ, the Church, the leadership, the membership, the back-sliders, those suffering from physical sickness and sin-sickness, the local community, the country and government, and the world at large.

Helps Ministry
Helping Hands can be vital to the continuous healing and well-being of our VWC members and loved ones. When someone is sick or has lost a loved one, a caring visit, phone call, and prayer can make a difference. Other responsibilities include greeting and calling visitors and welcoming them back, and ensuring greeting cards are given for sickness, birthdays, loss of loved ones, and special thank you's. Finally the Helps Ministry works in conjunction with the Deacon Ministry to those who would benefit from a home or hospital visit.

Hospitality Ministry
Hospitality Ministry is a more complex and demanding ministry than even twenty years ago. Today our communities are extraordinarily diverse, people are indifferent or even hostile to organized religion, and tastes have multiplied into dozens of personal preferences. It is a lot harder to make people feel right at home. At VWC, we have designated the hospitality ministry as a reliable, hands-on team of individuals who enjoy cooking, cleaning, decorating, organizing, and serving meals.

Music Ministry
The Music Ministry of VWC consists of the Praise Team, choir and musicians. The main purpose of the music ministry is to glorify God in song. By doing so, the music ministry may bring a message from God in song. Sometimes a song can touch and inspire where other efforts cannot reach. God's music can help usher in the Holy Spirit or draw someone to Christ. Participants in this ministry practice their craft alone and in regular practice meetings. Most important, participants in this ministry represent the Church, so the delivery of God's music is vital in leading others to Christ.

Deacon Ministry
Servants of the Deacons' Ministry of VWC are appointed by the Pastor based on outstanding character traits such as faithfulness, loyalty to pastor and Church leadership, respectfulness, integrity, and stewardship. A Deacons' work in the Church reflects that of a servants heart, hands, and feet. Responsibilities include: model and demonstrate Christ like behavior inside and outside the Church; evangelism; care for Church members; prayer in worship services; minister to needs of and teach Sunday school; problem solver and preserver of Church harmony; armor bearer to Pastor; and provide counsel to Church board and committees.

Ushers Ministry
Ushers serve as a representative of the Church. Ushers are the first person visitors and members see as they arrive at the Church. Ushers must remain alert and ready to serve during the entire time while on Church property. At VWC, ushers are responsible to: greet worshipers; answer general questions; hand out giving envelopes and other materials; keep usher area and front entrance tidy; promote unity, peace, and fellowship by ensuring that all participants have opportunity to hear the service and sermon without distraction; watch for safe environment; and when requested assist with collection of offering.
